Passenger & Crew Transport Simulator
Training for passenger and crew bus transport on the apron, in an environment built from your airport's real layout, with its stands, taxiways and terminals. Passenger stairs can be added on top, and are also available as a separate module.
What the Module Covers
Passenger and crew transport is one of the tasks where a mistake costs the most: the aircraft is close, the time is short and the conditions change. The module lets a crew train it in full before they do it for the first time on a real vehicle.
01
Vehicle Driving and Positioning
Approach and precise positioning at the aircraft, matched to different aircraft types and door heights. Apron routes follow the real layout of your airport, including the distances between the terminal and each stand and the points where traffic is hardest to work through.
02
Operating Conditions
Variable environmental conditions: time of day, reduced visibility, precipitation and surface icing. Other GSE and vehicle traffic on the apron is an active part of the scenario, not a backdrop, so the operator learns to react to what cannot be scheduled in traditional training.
03
Safety Zones
Safety zones around the aircraft, including FOD and jet blast areas, are enforced as real operational limits during the exercise. A breach has consequences immediately, which is how the right habits are built before the pressure of a live operation.
04
Time Pressure
Scenarios cover the pressure of a short turnaround and a stand change ordered mid-task. Decisions have to be made quickly without losing precision at the critical moments, such as the final approach to the aircraft.
05
Assessment and Instructor Work
Every session is recorded and can be used for the debrief, so the operator is shown the actual decision points and not only the final result. The instructor modifies the scenario in real time, adding events to match the level and pace of the person training.
Vehicles covered by the module: apron bus and cobus, with further types modelled on request.
Three Tasks, One Turnaround
Departure, arrival and crew transfer are separate tasks with separate pressure points. Each one starts the passengers somewhere else and ends somewhere else.
Separate module
Passenger Stairs
Passengers have to get from the bus into the aircraft, so stairs can be delivered together with this module: spawned pre-connected and aligned to the door, or operated by a trainee from approach to barrier setup. Passenger Stairs also runs as a module of its own, with elevation control, stabilising supports and barrier handling trained in full.
Passenger Stairs moduleCombined
Bus and stairs in one exercise: park, disembark, walk up, board. The handover between the two vehicles is where the time is lost or saved.
Pre-connected
Stairs spawn already docked and configured, so a bus-only session stays focused on driving, positioning and passenger flow.
Standalone
Stairs trained on their own, including elevation matching to different aircraft, supports and side barriers.
Built Around Your Apron, Your Buses, Your Procedures
Remote stand handling differs from airport to airport: the routes, the vehicles and the rules on how close a bus may come to an aircraft. The module is built on your station.
Your Apron
Recreated from the stands your crews serve:
- Remote stands, bus lanes and gate drop-off points
- Markings, lighting and equipment restraint areas
- Terminal, bus and aircraft boarding points for each task
- Night and low-visibility conditions on the same layout
Your stands, not a generic apron.
Your Buses
Matched to the fleet on the airside:
- Apron bus with per-door and side-specific door control
- Capacity set per model, enforced during boarding
- Cabin with visible passengers during transit
- Further bus and crew vehicle types modelled on request
If your fleet drives something else, we model yours.
Your Procedures
Aligned with the way your station works:
- Boarding and disembarkation sequence, front and rear stairs
- Approach and stop rules at the aircraft, PRM handover points
- Scenario sets written around your turnaround targets
- Delivered with documentation and support
Your rules on the stand, not a textbook version.
Repeat what you cannot schedule.
The instructor adds events while the exercise runs, so the same stand can be made difficult on demand.
Contact usWhy It Matters
Simulator training lets a difficult or rare situation be repeated as many times as needed, with no impact on live airport operations and no risk to people or equipment.
New Operators
Experience without the waiting
Situations that take weeks or months to encounter under a traditional training model are worked through in the simulator, before the operator drives a real vehicle on a live stand.
Experienced Staff
Skills kept and verified
Recurrent sessions in conditions close to the real thing, used to maintain and check competence rather than to introduce the job for the first time.
Hardware Configuration
Three station configurations, from essential to fully immersive, plus an optional add-on for natural head tracking. Each one runs the same simulation and the same procedures.
More Training Modules
Explore additional simulation modules designed to complement core ground handling training. Each module focuses on specific operational areas, enabling targeted skill development and comprehensive procedural coverage.
