Walkaround & FOD Check
One of the modules of our ground handling simulator. Trainees inspect the aircraft and clear the stand of foreign object debris before release.
See a Session in Action
A trainee works a full walkaround and FOD check from start to finish, next to what the instructor sees in the task tool window while it happens.
What the Exercise Covers
A systematic inspection of the aircraft and the apron, built to catch unsecured components and foreign object debris before they become a safety issue, with a live list of what is still open on the instructor side.
Two Phases, One Exercise
The instructor starts the walkaround and the FOD check separately, and can restart either one during or after it runs. Both are tracked the same way, checkpoint by checkpoint, item by item.
Trainee View, Instructor View
What the trainee sees on the ramp, and what the instructor sees at the station, side by side.
The instructor sets the difficulty.
Unsecured flaps and debris are triggered on demand, and either phase can be restarted or ended at any point in the exercise.
