Pushback & Towing Simulator at Goldhofer Innovation Days 2026
Today and tomorrow, September 10-11, Airport Training Simulator, a professional ground handling simulator, is being presented at Goldhofer Innovation Days 2026 in Memmingen, Germany.
Goldhofer Innovation Days brings together industry professionals, equipment manufacturers and technology providers to explore solutions focused on practical applications and the future of the industry. Rather than a traditional trade show, the event provides an opportunity to see new technologies in operation, discuss specific operational challenges with industry experts and explore solutions directly at the product.
For Airport Training Simulator, it is an opportunity to demonstrate how ground handling simulation can complement real GSE and support practical operator training.
Bringing Goldhofer equipment into a simulated environment
During the event, we are demonstrating our Pushback & Towing simulator featuring a Goldhofer fleet.
The pushback and towing simulator recreates ground handling operations in a controlled virtual environment, allowing operators to practise procedures, develop situational awareness and work with realistic GSE without the operational constraints of live airport operations.
Using a Goldhofer fleet within the simulator creates a direct connection between real ground support equipment and simulation. It also provides an opportunity to discuss how GSE training can be supported through realistic, repeatable training scenarios.
Ground handling training with simulation
A professional ground handling simulator can provide a safe and controlled environment for practising operational procedures before working with live equipment.
Simulation allows training scenarios to be repeated consistently and can help operators build familiarity with equipment, procedures and different operational situations. This can be particularly valuable for pushback and towing training, where precision, communication and situational awareness are essential.
The focus is not simply on reproducing equipment digitally. Realistic ground handling simulation is about creating an environment where operators can practise skills and procedures in situations that reflect real airport operations.
Technology with a practical purpose
A key focus of Goldhofer Innovation Days is the practical value of new technology. For training simulation, this means looking beyond the technology itself and considering how it can address real operational requirements.
The event provides the right setting for these discussions, bringing together equipment manufacturers, technology providers and industry professionals around real-world challenges.
For Airport Training Simulator, it is also an opportunity to exchange experience with professionals working directly with GSE, ground handling and airport operations, and to explore where simulation can add value to existing training programmes.
Next stop: GSE Expo Europe 2026
Following Goldhofer Innovation Days, the Airport Training Simulator team is heading directly to Lisbon for GSE Expo Europe 2026.
From September 15-17, visitors can find us with a full simulator setup at stand D57. Our representative will also be available at the Goldhofer booth at H11.
Visitors will be able to experience our ground handling simulator through hands-on demonstrations covering Pushback & Towing and other ground handling operations.
We look forward to continuing the conversations started in Memmingen and meeting more professionals from across the GSE, ground handling and airport operations sectors in Lisbon.
